TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PACKAGE SHIPPING SERVICES
MacArthur General Store – Customer Agreement

By using our package-shipping assistance service (“Service”), you (“Customer”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. MacArthur General Store (“Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) provides this Service as a convenience only. Customers remain fully responsible for the contents, legality, and condition of all items shipped.
1. Nature of Service
We are not a carrier, courier, postal service, or logistics provider.We simply assist Customers by:
Creating shipping labels, or
Dropping off a package with a shipping carrier at the Customer’s request.
All shipping is fulfilled solely by the third-party carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL).All carrier terms apply.
2. No Responsibility for Carrier Delays or Loss
Once a package is accepted by a carrier, all liability transfers to that carrier.
We are not responsible for:
Delayed delivery
Lost or stolen packages
Damaged items
Carrier errors or mishandling
Tracking issues
Packages returned to sender
Packages seized or inspected by authorities
Customer must resolve issues directly with the relevant carrier.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
3.1 Accurate Information
Customer is solely responsible for providing:
Correct shipping address
Correct name/contact info
Correct package weight and dimensions
Accurate customs declarations (if applicable)
We are not responsible for incorrect labels, misdelivery, or additional fees that result from inaccurate information.
3.2 Contents of Packages
Customer certifies that the package:
Contains no hazardous, restricted, illegal, or prohibited items
Complies with all carrier policies and federal/state shipping laws
Is properly packaged and sealed
Customer assumes all legal and financial liability for the package contents.
4. Fees & Charges
Service fees paid to us are non-refundable, even if the carrier delays, loses, or returns a package.
Customer is responsible for:
Carrier shipping rates
Extra carrier fees (corrections, returns, redelivery, customs, etc.)
We may refuse any package at our discretion.
5. Limited Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MacArthur General Store shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to:
Maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for our Service fee only.
6. Indemnification
Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MacArthur General Store and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, costs, legal fees, or consequences arising out of:
The contents of the package
Misrepresentation or false information provided by Customer
Customer’s violation of any law or regulation
Carrier actions involving the package
7. No Guarantee
We do not guarantee delivery dates, tracking accuracy, or carrier performance.
8. Consent
By handing over a package, paying for the Service, or using the Service in any way, Customer acknowledges they have reviewed and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
